RSPCA Animals in Science (AiS)
We are a dedicated team that works with regulators, members of ethics committees, scientists, veterinarians and animal technologists, and care staff. We provide resources, guidance and outreach on the fullest implementation of the 3Rs, and we enable effective challenge around whether, and how, animals are used.
Laboratory Animal Science Association (LASA)
The UK society for scientists and laboratory animal professionals with an interest in animal research, 3Rs, care and welfare, education and training, ethics and policy and regulation of animal research.
Laboratory Animals Veterinary Association (LAVA)
A specialist division of the British Veterinary Association comprising veterinary surgeons and students, from the UK and elsewhere, who are interested in laboratory animal medicine, science and welfare. LAVA represents laboratory animal vets at national and international level for discussions and decision making on laboratory animal law, welfare, ethics, transport, techniques and disease.
Institute of Animal Technology (IAT)
The foremost professional body in the field of Animal Technology. Its aims are to advance knowledge and promote excellence in the care and welfare of animals in science and to enhance the standards and status of those professionally engaged in the care, welfare and use of research animals.
